Always look for opportunities that are being offered at your university first, often a lot of opportunities are only advertised for internal applicants (i.e. from that specific university). Also, not everything is advertised, I started volunteering (and still am) with a lab at my university by asking a person from that lab directly. Having 10 seconds of courage goes a long way. National Indigenous Science Education Program
The National Indigenous Science Education Program (NISEP) aims to increase the level of engagement with science of rural and regional communities of Australia with high Indigenous populations; increase confidence in science, especially by Indigenous youth; communicate the relevance of science; and promote continuing involvement in science through secondary and tertiary education.
